Lo Pan Ner - Cogne - Aosta Valley

Lo Pan Ner festival arrives at its 3rd cross-border edition and lands in Cogne one more time.

For the occasion the hamlets of Epinel and Gimillan will light the ovens of the village...
Guided walks, workshops, tasting and much more will let you know the secrets beyond bread tradition in Cogne and Aosta Valley!

Saturday 13th October

Lo Pan Ner - Cogne - Aosta Valley

Epinel
9.30 a.m. Guided walk along the hamlet alleys
through the images of the exhibition “Saper fare”,
with the possibility of witnessing the different phases
of making and baking of RYE BREAD
Didactic workshop (upon reservation – limited places available)
11.30 a.m. Distribution of fresh-baked bread
with musical entertainment and mulled wine
11.45 a.m. The forest and its colours – Simple guided hike
to reach the village of Gimillan
(about 1 hour, 300 m of elevation gain)
12.45 p.m. “Lo Pan Ner” lunch at Belvedere restaurant
(reservation recommended – +39 0165.751812)
Gimillan
2.30 p.m. Guided walk along the hamlet alleys,
with the possibility of witnessing the different phases
of making and baking of MÉCOULÉN
4.30 p.m. Distribution of fresh-baked mécoulén
and roast chestnuts with musical entertainment at Gimillan old school
in cooperation with Gruppo Giovani di Gimillan
